Danner's Origins: Making Boots for Under $10
To understand the roots of the brand, we need to go back over 90 years. How did Danner get its start? Let's hear about its early history."Danner was founded in 1932 in the town of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, USA. This region is rich in water due to the Great Lakes, and hence it had a flourishing profession known as a tannery, engaged in the tanning of leather. Thanks to the geographic conditions and the times, hunting was also popular. In this context, two founders, William Weyenberg and his son-in-law Charles Danner, started the company under the name Danner Shoe Mfg. Co. (hereafter: Danner).
