An Enormous Boost in Propulsion with a New Midsole Compound! The Power of New Balance's 'FuelCell SuperComp Elite V4'
Made based on the feedback from top athletes obtained through rigorous testing at the New Balance Sports Research Lab headquartered in Boston, the 'FuelCell SuperComp Elite v4'. By using the new FuelCell compound, which has significantly improved rebound elasticity and energy return, it's said to have further elevated propulsion.
Furthermore, the carbon fiber plate, which enhances propulsion and the power to push, has also been refined with its fiber and weaving structure. What kind of transformation has the 'FuelCell SuperComp Elite v4' undergone?
"While increasing rebound elasticity has become a trend in running shoes for elite runners, we also aimed for lighter weights as some of the athletes were concerned about the weight in the previous model, v3.
"One of the big update points is the change in the midsole compound. The new compound made from a material called PEBA not only offers superior rebound elasticity, but also contributes to lightweight and durability of the shoes. It has received high evaluations from athletes as it creates a quick energy return while providing excellent cushioning," says Aoi Mamiya, New balance running footwear specialist.
