The 'Nike Infinity Run' series, conceived with the concept of 'zero injuries', is beloved by runners ranging from top athletes to beginners, thanks to its high cushioning and structure that allows smooth weight transfer. The latest release, the 'Nike Infinity Run 4', incorporates the new material, Nike ReactX Foam. What is this new foam like, and how does it contribute to the comfort of the new model that uses it?
The first model in the series, the 'NIKE REACT INFINITY RUN', was announced in 2019 (released in January 2020). By using the Nike React Foam, which is soft, resilient, lightweight, and durable, and leveraging the dynamics efficiency cultivated in developing top racing shoes, it provides excellent cushioning and stability and supports smooth and natural weight transfer.
At that time, a study by the third-party organization, the British Columbia Sports Medicine Research Foundation, involving 226 runners, compared the 'Nike Infinity Run' with the traditional Nike motion control shoe, the 'NIKE AIR ZOOM STRUCTURE 22'. The study found that injury rates (defined by the participants as pain related to running that prevented them from running for three or more consecutive days) decreased by 52% with the former shoe.
