Introducing the innovative trail running shoe "ULTRA GLIDE 3, designed to minimize fatigue and discomfort through its unique outsole design from Salomon. The newly shaped outsole, named relieveSPHERE, is said to disperse pressure on the foot.
What kind of shoe is it? I spoke with Taku Kariyazaki, an assistant manager at Salomon Store Tokyo Shibuya, who is also an experienced trail runner in 100-mile races.
The development of the features implemented in "ULTRA GLIDE 3" was inspired by feedback from runners participating in the world's premier trail running race, UTMB (Ultra Trail du Mont-Blanc). Research conducted among finishing runners revealed that there was a demand for shoes that reduce foot strain and maintain comfort in the latter stages of the race, leading to the advancement of this development.
