The New Shape of Luxury as Exemplified by 'HUNTING WORLD' and 'DESCENTE.LAB'

The brand 'HUNTING WORLD,' established in New York in 1965 by the adventurer Robert M. Lee (commonly known as Bob Lee), and 'DESCENTE.LAB,' a branch of the sportswear brand 'DESCENTE,' aimed at creating new value through free ideas. They collaborated to create 'HUNTING WORLD CRAFTED BY DESCENTE.LAB.' This new project began with the 2023 Autumn/Winter season.

'HUNTING WORLD' has been part of a brand for over half a century, and imagining the future, embarked on this new project with 'DESCENTE' as a brand partner. We asked Mitsuru Yamada, the creative director at Descente Ltd., about the story behind the birth of this project.

A Project for the Next 50 Years, After Half a Century from Brand Establishment

"In 2022, 'BATTUE,' the representative series of 'HUNTING WORLD,' celebrated its 50th anniversary. HUNTING WORLD has a strong impression as a luggage brand, but when we look ahead to the next 50 years, we want to strengthen the apparel line. That's why they approached us to collaborate on something new, leading to this collection.
