In October last year, Meijo University won the All Japan University Women's Ekiden for the 6th consecutive time. At the end of the year, they also triumphed in the Fuji Mountain Women's Ekiden, marking their 5th consecutive victory. All Japan University Women's Ekiden Record-Breaking 6th Consecutive Win

The athletes we interviewed were Yuma Yamamoto, Nanase Tanimoto (current second-year), and Nanaka Yonezawa (current first-year). Yamamoto ran the 3rd section in the All Japan and the 5th section in the Fuji Mountain Ekiden last year, earning section awards for both. In October's Tochigi National Sports Festival 5000m, she set a Japanese student record of 15 minutes 16.71 seconds.
