The Latest Version of the Super Popular Thick-Soled Carbon Shoes! A Thorough Explanation of the Evolution of ASICS MAGIC Speed 3
Building on the features and design of the ‘META SPEED’ series, ASICS has introduced the 'MAGIC SPEED', a thick-soled carbon shoe that many runners can take advantage of. The significantly evolved predecessor became popular among a large number of runners due to its excellent balance of propulsion and stability, as well as its cost-effectiveness. We asked Hiromichi Otake and Rina Suzuki from ASICS Corporation what kind of updates have been made to the latest 'MAGIC SPEED 3'.
Changed the Combination of Midsole Material
"We developed the 'MAGIC SPEED 3' with the aim of a race shoe that aims for personal bests, a carbon plate-equipped shoe that can be used in daily training, and a shoe that runners interested in thick-soled carbon plate shoes can wear, regardless of their level" (Suzuki). After verifying feedback from runners around the world, the combination of midsole materials was changed from the previous model because of comments stating a need for more cushioning and softness.This article is for members only.
