The Ultimate Model with "Paris" Right in the Name: Unleashing the Potential of ASICS's Latest in the 'METASPEED' Series
Thick-soled running shoes equipped with carbon plates have become mainstream, and competition among manufacturers is ramping up. ASICS continues to develop two types of premium models.
They have recommended the 'METASPEED SKY' series for stride runners (those with a wide stride) and the 'METASPEED EDGE' series for pitch runners (those with a short stride and high frequency).
What updates have been made for the new release named 'Paris'?
New Materials Adopted for the Midsole & Upper
The latest 'METASPEED SKY PARIS' and 'METASPEED EDGE PARIS' models feature a new foam material, FF TURBO PLUS, in the midsole."FF TURBO PLUS is about 8.0% lighter, has 8.2% more bounce, and 6.0% more cushioning than the previous FF TURBO used in the SKY PLUS and EDGE PLUS models. It allows for a bouncing-like sensation and extending the stride by deforming and compressing at landing and quickly returning to its original shape," says Shuhei Takemura, leader of the ASICS C-Project, which develops winning shoes for top athletes.
