Founded in 2014 by a team of hardware engineers who love outdoor sports,
COROS combines high-quality hardware with innovative technology to provide trusting products for endurance athletes that can withstand even the harshest environments in the world.
Since the release of 'COROS PACE' in 2018, the ultra-lightweight, ultra-thin GPS watch has gained popularity among runners, and the brand's presence has been increasing. It is known for supporting top athletes such as marathon record-holder Eliud Kipchoge, versatile mountain athlete Kilian Jornet, and renowned climber Tommy Caldwell. In Japan, they are also known for having a contract with trail runner Kimino Miyazaki as a professional athlete ambassador.
We asked Kiyoshi Nakatani of Lotus Co., Ltd., the sole agent of COROS in Japan, about their latest product '
COROS PACE 3' and the next-generation optical heart rate sensor '
COROS Heart Rate Monitor'. How do these products stand out?
Maintain Ultra-lightweight While Updating All Aspects of the Watch
The predecessor, 'COROS PACE 2', shocked many runners with its incredibly lightweight of about 29g (with a nylon band). The weight of the latest model 'COROS PACE 3' is about 30g (with a nylon band). Although it has increased by 1g, the noticeable weight is almost the same. Besides, it has greatly evolved in terms of functionality.
