Descente Japan develops a new material 'EXcDRY D-Tec' that stays comfortable, is not sticky, and dries quickly even when you sweat
Descente Japan Ltd. has developed a new comfortable material for summer, 'EXcDRY D-Tec'. The 'EXcDRY D-Tec' does not stick to the skin even when you sweat and it has a fast-drying function, drying in as quickly as 30 minutes (results from the early stage of the diffusion residual moisture rate test), making it perfect for the summer season. It has started being deployed in golf wear, training wear, etc.
We had an opportunity to ask Naoto Tominaga, who is in charge of material development at the company, about the development history of 'EXcDRY D-Tec', why they focused on minimizing stickiness, any unique strategies they employed, and future expansion plans.
