So resistant to holes it can shrug off flying embers—
NANGA's flame-retardant outerwear, a long-time champion of campfire sessions, has evolved this fall into a 3-in-1 design.
The "
HINOC DOWN 3 IN 1 JACKET" pairs an outer shell made from the flame-retardant HINOC material with an inner jacket packed with ultra-water-repellent down. The result is an all-purpose jacket perfect for everything from camping adventures to city streets.
We sat down with Sou Yonezawa from the Sales Planning Division at NANGA Inc. to uncover the true potential of this single piece, which masterfully blends the security you need around a fire with the lightweight comfort essential for everyday wear.

HINOC: A Proprietary Fabric Balancing Flame Retardancy and Comfort
To fully appreciate this down jacket's performance, you first need to understand its core material: HINOC.“It’s a proprietary blend of aramid fibers and polyester developed in-house at NANGA. It’s highly flame-retardant, making it resistant to flying embers and reducing the risk of holes that can ruin a jacket during a campfire. Aramid fibers are typically quite stiff, but thanks to a special weaving technique, HINOC minimizes that rigidity, resulting in a distinctively soft, cotton-like feel.”
