First, let's revisit the running shoe that carries the "Vaporfly" name. The first thick-soled shoe equipped with a carbon plate, the "Nike ZoomX Vaporfly 4%," debuted in July 2017. Known as the shoes worn by Yuta Shitara when he broke Japan's 16-year-old men's marathon record in February 2018.The successor to the "Vaporfly 4%," introduced in April 2019, was the "Nike ZoomX Vaporfly NEXT%." With 4mm thicker forefoot and a wider width, the "Vaporfly NEXT%" increased energy return and stability, making it even more popular among runners.
