This winter, it’s predicted to be colder than usual due to the effects of La Niña and other factors.
In preparation for this harsh winter, UNIQLO is focusing its efforts on a specific high-performance outerwear. The outerwear named PUFFTECH showcases the latest advancements in fiber technology utilized in its insulation.
Claimed to be the lightest and warmest insulation ever by UNIQLO, it possesses various features such as being non-bulky, water and moisture-resistant, and resistant to feather leakage.
We spoke with the PR team at UNIQLO Co., Ltd. about the development story and the latest lineup.

Functionality of Insulation Culminated by UNIQLO's Wisdom

First, can you tell us what "PUFFTECH" is?
This is a functional insulation developed in collaboration with Toray, a material manufacturer specializing in advanced materials. It mimics the structure of natural down using synthetic fibers and achieves high thermal insulation by creating layers that hold a large amount of air. "PUFFTECH" is the name of this insulation and also the name of the outerwear that utilizes it.
