First, I would like to review the NITRO FOAM, a big feature of PUMA's running shoes.Conventional NITRO FOAM is based on TPEE (Polyester Thermoplastic Elastomer), which is known for its high resilience and lightweight, and is improved bounce by adding nitrogen gas. The energy return is a maximum of about 77%. We adjusted factors such as the amount of nitrogen to customize the hardness and bounce properties to match our products.
The NITRO ELITE FOAM, which enhances energy return even further by pairing with PEBAX (a material also used on the outsoles of sprinting spikes), is based on NITRO FOAM. The energy return is about a maximum of 83%.
