A New Lightweight Down Jacket Bridging the Outdoors and Everyday Life

The LITEFORCE DOWN JKT is a model born directly from the demands of our time.
"With down jackets now a staple of daily winter wear, 'lightness' has become a top priority. But for outdoor use, being lightweight alone isn't enough—durability and water resistance are also crucial. We've actually heard from many users who wanted a down jacket that's 'lightweight but can really hold up.'"
Lightness, toughness, and weather resistance—the LITEFORCE DOWN JKT was developed in response to users seeking a jacket that masters all three.
The main material is CORDURA® nylon. Resistant to scuffs and tears, it holds up against the wear and tear of daily commutes and outdoor adventures.

The Shell Material: Scuff- and Tear-Resistant CORDURA® Nylon

To craft this down jacket, NANGA first turned its attention to CORDURA® NYLON.
"The 23-denier CORDURA® nylon, being both lightweight and highly abrasion-resistant, was the perfect material for the shell. Typically, when you lighten a down jacket, the fabric gets thinner and more susceptible to wear from backpack straps and everyday friction."
"But CORDURA® nylon, with its high-density filament weave, balances both thinness and strength. This overcomes the usual weakness to friction and delivers the toughness needed for worry-free outdoor use."
AURORA-TEX®, used on the hood and shoulders, is NANGA's proprietary fabric that achieves both waterproofness and breathability. It repels rain and snow while allowing internal moisture to escape, ensuring you stay comfortable even in harsh weather.

AURORA-TEX® in Areas Prone to Wetting

Water resistance is boosted by the inclusion of AURORA TEX®.
This proprietary waterproof-breathable material from NANGA is known for its perfect balance: it effectively blocks external water while smoothly letting internal moisture escape.
Unlike typical rainwear that uses a full laminate, this fabric is inherently breathable, allowing it to combat harsh weather while minimizing that stuffy feeling.
On this model, AURORA-TEX® is strategically placed only on areas most exposed to moisture, like the hood and shoulders.
"If the whole jacket were made of waterproof-breathable material, it would be too heavy. That's why we've limited its use to critical areas like the shoulders and cuffs, which bear the brunt of rain and snow."
Furthermore, the water-resistant coating on AURORA-TEX® also increases its surface strength. This means that when placed in high-stress zones, like the shoulders where backpack straps rub, it doubles as a reinforcement.
The material engineering that combines light, durable CORDURA® nylon with waterproof, breathable AURORA-TEX® is simply brilliant. This hybrid construction is the very core of the LITEFORCE series.
Kawada Feather performs a unique water-flow cleaning process that protects the down. Its cleaning power—involving two washes, four rinses, and achieving a 2,000mm turbidity level—far surpasses European, American, and Japanese standards.

The Insulation: 760 Fill Power Down for Optimal Mobility

There are no compromises on warmth, the very lifeblood of a down jacket. The insulation is Spanish white duck down processed by Kawada Feather, a feather manufacturer renowned for its exceptional technical skill.
"We use 760 fill power down, which is versatile enough for both city and outdoor use. Rather than opting for an ultra-high fill power intended solely for the harshest winter conditions, we chose a mid-range fill that prioritizes freedom of movement."
The jacket uses Spanish white duck down known as "DX." It's a high-quality fill with a 90% down, 10% feather ratio and 760 FP.
The 180g down fill is the result of a meticulous pursuit to perfectly balance lightness and warmth.
"It provides enough insulation for a winter stroll through the city or a chilly campsite, all while maintaining a lightness that won't restrict your movement or wear you out, even after hours of wear."
While Nanga doesn't disclose the jacket's total weight, 180g of down fill is on the lighter side for a winter down jacket, making it feel incredibly nimble. It strikes the perfect balance, delivering just the right amount of warmth without sacrificing mobility.
The diagonal quilt lines amplify its stylish look.

Designed to Handle City Life

"From a design perspective, we focused on a look that feels natural in the city. We've noticed a growing demand for down jackets that can be casually worn for everyday life, not just for outdoor adventures. As the line between the field and the city continues to blur, our goal was to create a jacket that seamlessly fits into both environments."
This design philosophy is evident in the diagonal quilt lines across the body.
"The diagonal quilting creates a sense of dynamic movement compared to horizontal patterns, lending it a sporty, urban feel. The sleek silhouette, which avoids excessive bulk, is also tailored for city wear."
It features a vertical chest pocket. Accessible without unzipping the front, it lets you grab your smartphone or wallet without letting the cold in.
Meanwhile, it fully embraces its heritage as functional outdoor gear. You'll find thoughtful details throughout that prove their worth when worn, such as the vertical utility pocket you can use without opening the front zipper, and a hood shaped to cover your neck while keeping your line of sight clear.
The jacket comes in three color variations: Black, Khaki, and Orange.
The Light Force Down Jacket stands in a class of its own, distinct from existing lines like AURORA-TEX® (waterproof), AURORA-TEX® Light (lightweight waterproof), and Hybrid. It's a single garment that achieves a high-level fusion of three core elements: lightness, toughness, and all-weather capability.
It lets you move warmly and freely, unfazed by the weather, whether you're outdoors or in the city. This reliable sense of security is the true privilege of owning a "Light Force Down Jacket."
