We sat down with Miki Kawai from the Marketing Team of the D2C Division at XEXYMIX JAPAN Inc. to discuss everything from the concept of the men's line to the unique features of its items.

The Concept: 'Feeling Good Again Today.'

"When XEXYMIX launched in 2015, we only offered a womenswear collection. The men's line was introduced in 2020. Since gyms are often co-ed spaces, the growing popularity of our womenswear naturally led to increased awareness among men, which paved the way for our men's collection.

XEXYMIX is built on the brand concept of 'Feeling good again today.' While our core focus is sportswear, many of our pieces are versatile enough for daily wear, allowing you to head out right after a workout.

We pay close attention not just to functionality but also to a wide range of colors and silhouettes. We want XEXYMIX to be a brand that makes people feel like 'Wearing this just lifts my spirits.'"

Three Categories: Active, Athleisure, and Golf

When the men's line first launched, the focus was primarily on gym workout gear. However, with the rising popularity of running in Korea, the collection has expanded to reflect this trend. Kawai continues to explain.

"Our men's collection is divided into three main categories: 'Active,' 'Athleisure,' and 'Golf.'

The 'Active' category covers items for running and workouts. 'Athleisure' features pieces that let you move seamlessly between your workout and your daily routine. And 'Golf,' as the name implies, is a dedicated line of golf apparel.

While each category stands on its own, they are designed to be mixed and matched, creating a versatile and comfortable wardrobe."

Silhouettes Designed to Flatter a Fit Physique

The 'Muscle Fit' T-shirt is a prime example. It's engineered to beautifully showcase a toned physique.

And while men’s collections often lean towards basic colors like black, this T-shirt comes in a rich palette of 10 different colors."

"For the Spring/Summer season, our lineup features many items with gradient designs. The 'RX Men's Gradation Airfit Sleeveless' is perfect for mid-summer runs, equipped with features like breathability, water repellency, quick-drying properties, and a cooling sensation. Its high stretch and lightweight feel are also key characteristics."

"Shorter-length leggings have also become quite mainstream recently. Our XEXYMIX version packs numerous features into a simple design, including thoughtful details like side pockets and a loop for hanging a towel.

We've also adjusted the fabric tension to ensure a discreet fit in the front, and the mesh lining means they can be comfortably worn without an inner layer. They offer just the right amount of support without feeling restrictive, which is another signature feature."
