How KANEBO's "SKIN HARMONIZER" Lotion Overturned the Common Sense of Sebum Care
Experiences such when you feel "oily in summer but dry in winter" and "tight after cleansing but shiny during the day" are issues that everyone has faced at least once. KANEBO has focused on "sebaceous glands" as one of the causes of skin problems.
"In fact, sebum is intertwined with various factors, and although many companies are researching it, many aspects remain unclear," says Emiko Yano, in charge of product development at Kanebo.
Amid this, Kao's Kanebo Cosmetics, through years of research, has clarified a new approach to sebum. They launched a lotion, "KANEBO SKIN HARMONIZER," incorporating an entirely new approach called "Targeted Sebum Trapping" technology, which differs from the conventional method of focusing on the "amount" of sebum and removing it in bulk.
We spoke with Yano and PR representative Yuki Hoshino about the newly clarified facts regarding sebum and the mechanism of "KANEBO SKIN HARMONIZER."
