In May 2023, ORBIS, a beauty brand primarily focusing on skincare, opened an unmanned sales store called "ORBIS Smart Stand" on the 1st floor of Granduo Tachikawa. As of May 13, 2023, it is the only unmanned sales store on a floor where various cosmetic brand stores are gathered.
In the midst of rising demand for non-face-to-face services due to labor shortages caused by a declining population and the COVID-19 pandemic, they have achieved a new service combining an "unmanned sales store" and "online counseling."

After joining Orbis, he engaged in developing and operating the mail order core system, including logistics and ordering functions, in the Information Systems Department. Subsequently, as a group manager, he managed the addition of new mail order functions and the reconstruction of the core infrastructure and also experienced setting up the EC site for the Singapore subsidiary. Since 2018, he has been responsible for expanding the sales of directly-managed stores and personnel as a Sales Manager in the Store Sales Group, and since January 2023, he has been overseeing the store business.

When did you start planning the new form of the store "ORBIS Smart Stand"?
We started discussions with TOUCH TO GO, which provides an unmanned payment system, around September 2021. At that time, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was challenging to make profits while keeping beauty advisors (cosmetic store staff) at the stores. There was also a future worry about labor shortages due to a declining population. Therefore, we were planning to create a store that could secure sales while keeping fixed costs down.
