Armor has evolved as a unique aesthetic by pursuing functionality and engineering to protect warriors while continuously updating the craft techniques and designs that display their power and aesthetic ideals.
This exhibition features armor and works by contemporary artists, and the attempt to create a dialogue between history and the present through spatial design is a major highlight.
In this event, sneakers, which are continuously updated with cutting-edge technology and design, are likened to "modern armor," with sneakers produced by the fashion brands HATRA and MAGARIMONO using 3D printing on display.
Furthermore, Rhizomatiks, led by Daito Manabe, presents images of armor scanned by CT, alongside a "sneaker armor" created by stylist Shinichi Mita, while artist Nile Koetting has curated a space reminiscent of an "Apple Store."
