"Carrying" as a Keyword and 3 Concepts
"The brand started in November 2020 as a new venture by
SEIBAN, which has a history of over 100 years and is famous for making school satchels, aiming to lead the next 100 years. The project had started moving about a year before the launch.
"We began with creating the concept, and the major keyword decided was 'carrying.' We set three concepts as the pillars: 'functionality,' 'durability,' and 'rationality,' and launched the MONOLITH bag brand.
"To explain each one, starting with functionality, after using various bags, I often thought, 'If only it were a bit more functional' when choosing simple designs. That was something I couldn't compromise on.
