A revolutionary outdoor brand was born in the 1980s. Established in New Hampshire, United States in 1981, 'WILD THINGS' garnered buzz. Specializing in climbing gear, its advanced technology honed in the great outdoors was also utilized in winter outerwear, attracting attention from the start. Their high quality was so renowned, they even supplied the U.S. military. This time, we're introduced to WILD THINGS' winter outerwear by Kota Watanabe, who handles the PR for Ins Co., Ltd.
"WILD THINGS was founded by a family of mountain guides and Marie Meunier, who grew up amidst wilderness, and Massachusetts climber Joe Bouchard. Meunier was the first woman to scale the Aconcagua, the highest peak in the Andes Range. During this historic feat, she was dressed in WILD THINGS gear, helping the brand name and her own name become well-known amongst climbers and quickly rise to fame. With intimate knowledge of the outdoors and development know-how in military gear, they ended up creating what are now considered iconic products."
