Pregnancy and childbirth, which can be said to be one of the biggest events in many women's lives, can bring various pains along with the utmost joy. Such pains can leave scars on the body or etch invisible wounds into the heart.
French-born Audrey Bouyer is one of these women. The experience of welcoming her first child through an emergency cesarean section was also the beginning of a battle with a hidden pain.
In enduring the pain, harboring solitude, and wishing for recovery, she stirred a new passion in her life. She stood up, wanting to save even one more woman who had similar experiences to hers, and founded the femtech startup 'Wounded Women'. The underwear she developed along with medical experts to care for and heal post-surgical scars quickly became a hot topic in France right after its launch. Also, focusing on the healing of unseen emotional wounds, she is building the 'Wounded Women' community through podcasts and workshops aimed at mental care.
