That's why we're shining a spotlight on 'Caresoku (CARE:SOKU),' a sock developed by the Niigata-based company Yamachu Co., Ltd. Under the tagline, 'For tomorrow's feet,' they developed socks with health at their core. And their remarkable effectiveness is even backed by science.
We sat down with the brand manager, Manabu Tsuboya, to discuss the company's philosophy and get the full story on 'Caresoku,' a sock with a revolutionary new design.

CARE:SOKU Brand Manager.
Inspired as a child by a relative's praise—'Yamachu makes incredible socks'—he dreamed of one day joining the company.
He was deeply impressed by the sensation of doing something good for his body the first time he wore Caresoku.
Today, he passionately dedicates himself to the research and development of 'socks that contribute to health'.
Who Exactly Is a Sock's Customer?
The knitting machines and skilled technicians supporting Yamachu's 67-plus-year legacy.
Founded in 1958, the company’s story began with a single sock-knitting machine. Starting out with door-to-door sales before expanding into mail-order—a business model that continues to this day—they have long focused on creating products that address foot-related concerns. Their long-selling items, such as “Ashiura Bijin” (Beautiful Soles) and “Kenko Ashikubi Warmer” (Healthy Ankle Warmer), have earned enduring popularity.
