"During development, we went back and checked user opinions to clearly define what people wanted in a shell jacket.
"Not just for rain—strong winds on ridgelines and other open areas were also a concern, so it needed to be reliably windproof. And to keep wearers comfortable, we needed to ensure that sweat vapor could escape, maintaining a dry feel. We thoroughly revisited the essential functions of a shell with these needs in mind."
