In response, the outdoor brand
The North Face has rebranded its long-developed moisture-wicking, quick-drying technology "
FlashDry" as a material name, rather than a simple product function, for this season.
From high-intensity activities like running and hiking to muggy days in town, FlashDry meets the demands of a wide range of scenes. We spoke with Yayoi Chiba of Goldwin Inc. to get the inside story behind the development and rebranding of FlashDry.

The Evolution & Versatility of "FlashDry"
FlashDry has been a flagship functional material for The North Face for over a decade.
“At first, there were two main versions: the highly quick-drying 'FlashDry,' and the 'FlashDry 3D,' which focused more on keeping fabric off the skin,” explains Chiba.
However, as each summer’s heat has become harsher, The North Face developed its quick-drying features further across more products.
