Expanding Options in the Metaverse — X-Gender Representative Pushes Forward with Avatars and Digital Fashion
In recent times, amid the growth of avatars and digital fashion that can be utilized in the metaverse both domestically and abroad, XiON Co., Ltd. has launched its own digital fashion label "VOiD" using NFT technology.
Since 2022, XiON has been pursuing the potential of the metaverse and avatars by developing projects such as "Tokyo Expanding People2099" (referred to as TokyoExpo2099 hereafter) in collaboration with Mandy Sekiguchi, among others, using NFTs.
Furthermore, the company's representative, Kai Harada, who openly identifies as "X-gendered" (referring to individuals who do not explicitly fit into male or female gender identities), expresses immense attraction towards the metaverse's capability of liberating physical constraints from the real world, thus allowing one to thrive in their preferred gender identity.
Recently, we discussed everything from the company's establishment background with Harada to the content of VOiD and TokyoExpo2099, and the possibilities that digital fashion and avatars hold in metaverse spaces.
