BEAMS Co, Ltd. has made its debut on the metaverse platform 'ZEPETO,' which boasts a user base of 400 million worldwide. The company teamed up with popular ZEPETO creators to launch collections under two labels, 'Ray BEAMS' and 'BEAMS HEART.' A total of 10 items were released on February 27.
We discussed with Jun Kimura and Michiko Fujihira from BEAMS Creative, who were in charge of this project, to get insights into their collaboration with ZEPETO, the production anecdotes of the collection, and BEAMS' future perspectives on metaverse and digital fashion. 

The Reason BEAMS Entered ZEPETO

BEAMS has participated in 'Virtual Markets' before, but why did they decide to engage in ZEPETO? Producer Kimura explains:
"We initially entered the realms of the metaverse and digital fashion through our first step – setting up a shop in the 'Virtual Market'. It was a way to achieve a Proof of Concept (PoC) on VRChat, where users gather from around the world, and to accumulate knowledge in one place.
