Recover from Fatigue While You Work – The New 'Pajama Suit® Recovery' by AOKI

In recent years, amidst various companies releasing 'Recovery Wear', clothing expected to aid fatigue recovery, AOKI Holdings,Inc., a suit specialty store, has been drawing attention for their new release, the 'Pajama Suit® Recovery', which can be worn in a business scene.

The 'Pajama Suit® Recovery' is a fatigue recovery wear that is registered as a general medical device. It promises blood circulation improvement, reduction of stiffness, and fatigue recovery effects. Dressed up to look like a suit, its comfortable fit allows for long hours of wear regardless of whether you're on or off duty.

In this regard, we asked Daijiro Koide of AOKI Holdings,Inc., who was in charge of product planning, about the background and episodes in the development of 'Pajama Suit® Recovery', its features and challenges as a product, and the future prospects.

The Background of the 'Pajama Suit® Recovery'

Firstly, could you tell us what prompted the development of the 'Pajama Suit® Recovery'? Your company also launched 'Recovery Care+®', recovery wear intended for rest and sleep at home, in 2022, didn't it?

With the backdrop of society's health consciousness, the government is implementing various measures aimed at revitalizing the healthcare industry. As a company that sells clothes, we released 'RECOVERY CARE＋®' aiming to respond to this market.

'RECOVERY CARE＋®' is also a product that has been registered as a general medical device. It uses a special fabric with a high concentration of ceramic kneading threads, which have a heat treatment effect. The fabric absorbs and radiates the far-infrared energy emanating from the body, promoting blood circulation. Technically, this is the same technology applied to the 'Pajama Suit® Recovery'.

Since 'RECOVERY CARE＋®' has been on sale as lounge wear, it's still being developed with adaptations such as changing the materials seasonally. As a result, the fall/winter model for 2023 has almost sold out, showing it's popularity.

On the other hand, in our casual product range, we offer a product called 'Pajama Suit®'. This product looks like a suit, but provides the comfort of wearing pajamas. It has been well-received and has many repeat customers.

With that in mind, we developed this product with a desire to provide 'Recovery Wear' that can be used both inside and outside.

Also, as the situation with COVID-19 is calming down and more people are transitioning from remote work to commuting to the office, we started development thinking we could offer our customers a 'surprise' – the ability to recover from fatigue while working.
