Platform shoes are still getting renewed attention today, but why are they loved by such a wide range of generations?
As someone who spent their youth in the late '90s and early 2000s, Heisei's platform shoes were a beloved trend. This time, I would like to look back at the platform shoes, one of the iconic trend items of Heisei.
The History of Platform Shoes
So, what exactly are platform shoes?While their purpose of making one look taller is similar to high heels, their shape differs greatly. High heels lift the heel at least 7 cm higher than the toes, but platform shoes have thickness in both the heel and toe.
