Montbell's Packable Rain Jacket that Can Be Worn Over a Daypack

Rainwear is a must for hiking, but in the city, building gusts on rainy days can damage umbrellas, making rainwear a necessity. The typhoon season is even more so. When you wear rainwear, your body stays dry, but your belongings can't be protected from the rain. Even with an umbrella, the backpack on your back will still get wet. To solve this problem, a ground-breaking rain jacket was introduced this year from 'Montbell'.
 
When you open the back gusset, there's more room in the fabric, allowing you to wear it comfortably while completely covering a small backpack (known as a daypack).  You might have seen hikers moving around in the rain, wearing large-sized rainwear that covers not just their body, but also the backpack on their back. However, walking in the mountains in an oversized garment can be dangerous as the fabric may get caught in branches or rocks.
 
"The 'Pack Wrap Rain Jacket' is our response to the need for appropriately sized rainwear that can also prevent backpacks from getting wet. When you open the back gusset, it can fully cover a backpack of up to about 20L capacity. When you're not carrying anything, if you close the gusset, it will be the same silhouette as ordinary rainwear."
