PLASTICITY" in collaboration with creator Aki. Why should "PLASTICITY" be a brand that should disappear in 10 years?
We spoke with Hasegawa from Mondo Design to learn more about the inception, concept, product reception, and future prospects of PLASTICITY.
The Meaning of "A Brand that Should Disappear in 10 Years"
Tell us about the brand, "PLASTICITY."
"PLASTICITY is an upcycle brand that repurposes vinyl umbrellas, which are a plastic waste issue, into new products."PLASTICITY was developed jointly by our company and creator Aki. Aki launched the brand while attending a vocational school. Our company had the chance to see Aki's work and resonated with the idea of reusing vinyl umbrellas. We started commercializing and selling the products in 2020.
