"menopeer" – Consult About Menopause Symptoms and Other Women's Physical & Mental Concerns with Specialists via LINE
menopeer launched the service "menopeer" in January 2023, enabling consultations about menopause symptoms and women's unique body concerns with specialists through LINE.
The feature of "menopeer" is that the staff who respond are professionals related to "women's health," such as nurses, midwives, and registered dietitians with experience working in gynecology and menopause specialty clinics. Most of the staff hold a menopause counselor qualification.
Why did they establish a service specialized in menopause and women's health?
This time, we interviewed Kotoko Kimura, the CEO of menopeer, about the background of founding, service content, and what she wants to convey to women.

Kotoko Kimura
After graduating from Sophia University in 2006, she joined Mitsui & Co., Ltd. and was involved in multiple businesses, from logistics to investment projects, in the Consumer Service Business Department until her retirement. After retiring in 2019, she advanced to the master's course in Service Design at the Royal College of Art in the UK. Her personal project involved researching the situation surrounding menopause in the UK and Japan and developing a care service for Japanese women going through menopause.
In January 2022, she established menopeer.
Establishing the Company for Gynecological Issues to Create a Space with Appropriate & Accessible Medical Care
Kimura founded menopeer in January 2022. What was the reason behind its establishment?"I myself struggled with several gynecological issues when I was an office worker and regretted not being able to access proper medical care early on.
