Supporting Activities to Raise Awareness About the World of Web3/NFT: World of Women (Part 2)
In 2021, with the desire to expand opportunities for minorities, including women and LGBTQ+, to succeed in the world of Web3/NFT art, "World of Women" started a new fund activity in March 2022 with a $25 million grant (approximately 3,285,626,050 yen as of February 10).
Beyond just creating and selling their own NFTs, what drives them to bring more people into this world? Continuing from the previous article, we spoke with one of the founding members and Communications Director of "World of Women," Adelina Mattera, about the industry's challenges and future prospects.
Bringing Women & Diversity to NFTs & the Metaverse
I heard that you launched new fund activities simultaneously with the announcement of "World of Women Galaxy."
In March 2022, with a $25 million grant provided by our partner "The Sandbox" (a company operating an NFT game played in the Metaverse), we launched the "World of Women Fund" (hereafter referred to as the "WoW Fund"). The WoW Fund has several goals, one of which is to support and nurture artists.
